A game
In collaboration with Christoph Müßig and Érika Roldán-Roa, we developed a game on queen and rook domination on polyominoes. Het is accessible on this website
https://www.erikaroldan.net/queensrooksdomination. It is companion to some research we did, please do let us
know if you find a winning strategy in polynomial time, as those two problems are NP-complete, this can be the start of a fruitful collaboration!

Research on chess and math
Our new preprint with Chris Müßig and Érika Róldan-Roa Complexity of chess domination problems is out at arXiv:2211.05651 !
It proves NP-completeness of a few problems of domination by queens and rooks on polycubes. It also boasts a companion video game
and the solver we present was used to extend A075324.
Collection of mathematical chess problem
Along the years, I collected some mathematically inspired chess problems and created a few activities around chess and mathematics. I am trying to keep them all in one place.
You can find them in a draft of a booklet below. Feel free to have a look; contact me if you want to contribute, or if you have comments. It will take some time before it is final, if it ever
becomes finalised, but I will try to update it from time to time when I find new problems
Current version: 02 from 2022-09-06
Queens of the chessboards.
Changelog
2022-09-07: Second version with a few typos corrected.
2022-04-06: First version put online. Contains the translation of two articles written for the Québec magazine
Accromath.
Future updates
Add a summary of research with Christoph Müßig and Érika Roldán on domination
Add the problems of the PRIME problem-solving avond to the document
Add a section about the project with Toon Baeyens on generating interesting solitaire chess position.
