I have also recently been interested in complexity theory and extremal combinatorics through chess-inspired mathematical problems.
2024/11/18 Our preprint Insights from a workshop on gamification of research in mathematics and computer science written with Élise Raphael and Érika Roldán is available arXiv:2411.10207! It is an exploration of the idea of using game to let people experience mathematical research and initiate a feedback loop to contribute to it in the best scenario. It goes over some example and present the experience of collective creation of a gamification instance that happened in Les Diablerets in October 2022 at the conference Let's talk about outreach!

2023-09-01 Our preprint The double dihedral Dunkl total angular momentum algebra with Marcelo De Martino and Roy Oste is finally out online arXiv:2308.16366! It extends the last part of my PhD thesis in which we focus on the representations of the TAMA for two dihedral group, using a subalgebra admitting a triangular decomposition to give out necessary condition for finite-dimensional representations.
2023-08-31 I was in Nyon until 18 September and was travelling around Switzerland for research and work.

2023-01-21 Our mini-course webpage is up! You can visit this relay page for more information, or go directly register on the website https://sites.google.com/view/kleine-seminar-mini-course/home.
2023-01-17 My PhD thesis has been submitted! The internal defence will take place on the 06 March 2023. It is bad form to plan the public defence before the end of the internal, but let's say it would be wise to keep the 24 April free would you want to attend my public defence.
I believe that we, as researchers receiving public fundings, should be transparent in our management. My first step in this direction is to disclose the fundings I have received below (with more detail in my CV).
My current funding is by a Hausdorff postdoc position. Starting from March 2024, I also hold a 2-year postdoctoral scholarship from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec -- Nature et technologies (grant number 326641).
My postdoc at Leipzig was funded with financial support by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany and by Sächsische Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur und Tourismus in the programme Center of Excellence for AI-research „Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Dresden/Leipzig“ (project identification number: ScaDS.AI).
My PhD research was funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies (grant number 270527) and by the Excellence in Science research project PRIMA (grant number 30889451).
My Master's thesis was funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies (grant number 207764) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (granut identifier 510954-2017).
I did two internships during my bachelor that were funded by the NSERC (grant ientifiers 498669-2016; 483328-2015).
I pronounce my first name Aleksi but also quite like Alexeï. I speak French, English, Dutch, and I am learning German; you can contact me in any of these languages (you are also welcome to try others, but I probably will not answer in the same). I pass the time, amongst other activities, by reading, writing, playing chess, learning languages, taking pictures, starting random hobbys, 3D-printing and swimming. Topics that might make me speak for too long include: typography, government systems, the late medieval European period, the Cathar heresy in Occitan, chess history, books, Émile Zola, Québec gins, Belgian beer, Simone de Beauvoir and stories from Dwarf Fortress.
